Newbattle Stoves are stove specialists with nearly 30 years experience of selling, designing, installing and servicing stoves.
We are based in historic Newbattle  just outside Dalkeith with easy access to and from our main customer bases in Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian.

Our by appointment showroom  sits in the beautiful grounds of Newbattle Abbey College within the Listed Business Park orginally built as a World War 2 training complex.

Our focus is on stoves that meet the most stringent standards of design, build quality and performance. Our portfolio includes the world’s oldest stove manufacturer Nestor Martin, Red Dot Design winners such as Fogo Montahna and Hwam, industry leading brand Mendip Stoves as well as cast iron specialists Hergom – amongst many others.

New soon to be introduced regulations such as the SIA 2022 requirements provide us with another filter we are keen to apply to ensure the right choice of stove for you.

Full Design & Installation Package

Taking care of everything from consultation in our showroom and in your home through specification and installation to tutorial.

This incorporates all possible associated aspects of a stove installation be they chimney works, fireplace and grate building works, plastering, joinery and gas engineering.

Stove Sales

You can buy a stove from Newbattle Stoves with confidence. We know it is essential to filter your choice and purchase of a stove through the installation parameters, your decorative choices and the heating objectives. To this end, for EH postcode holders, as part of the sale package, we perform a Pre-Specification Suitability Check and a Post- Installation Safety Check. These are included in the sale to give complete peace of mind allowing you to use and then enjoy the stove we sold you thus exercising our Duty of Care as a stove retailer.”

Stove Servicing
& Chimney Sweeping

In order to keep warranties and household insurance policies in place it is essential to have your stove serviced and the chimney swept every year with a service record kept of both.

Newbattle Stoves offer a yearly package to take care of both aspects giving complete peace of mind over safety, operation and performance.

Last year after a few visits from so called stove specialists I asked Newbattle Stoves to call. I found Norredine to have much more accurate knowledge of the regulations that needed to apply, he was more than happy to talk me through his recommendations for an installation in detail. He recommended a Danish, Westfire Uniq 21 compact 5Kw convection, contemporary style stove. The installation with a good team, worked out fantastic and was exactly the look we wanted. I’ve now learned how to use the stove and within 10 minutes of lighting, the room, indeed rooms are warming up nicely. Newbattle Stoves really are interested in making you happy with your stove. I’ve since used them for a service and flue clean which all went perfectly. I love using this stove, very happy overall!
